Apple Core Quilt
I bought the Apple Core ruler from Country Fabrics in Brainerd, MN. The owner's brother makes them, and they are awesome. I bought paisley cuddle fabric for the backing from www.chenillemagic.com.
Blowin' in the wind...
These were the cabin quilts that I brought home to wash. They looked so pretty hung on Darlene's clothesline to dry.
Whoops...
I made the one on the left, copied from a Christmas gift from the quilt shop Christmas gift exchange a few years ago...except that I kept the original rolled up and assumed that it was only 3 blocks. Oh, well. Maggie Kiley got this one for her birthday.
Kitchen fabric
Leftover fruit and vegetable fabric can be so motivating. This was a Better Homes and Gardens online pattern, filled with batting and heat resistant batting. I quilted a grid on both sides.
Crown Royal pants - not my idea
Brother-in-law Ray asked that I make him some pants that looked like a Crown Royal bag. Not a quilt, I know, but I did use my sewing machine. He is a goofball, but I must say - it was a good idea and fun to make! I think it was the first time I changed the stitch length on my serger to be more dense so it would be decorative. The pants would have taken an hour, but figuring out the rest bumped it to three hours.
